In recent years, artificial intelligent (AI) technologies have advanced at an enormous pace and in impressive ways. AI systems are now in every smartphone for speech and image recognition, in self-driving cars, and even robots are acting smarter and smarter thanks to their artificial neural networks. Nevertheless, AI still has a long way to go before it can hold a candle to our human brains. But why is that, and why is it so difficult to build AI systems that are equally intelligent? What can we learn from human intelligence and our brains as role models to improve AI? We will discuss these and other questions about natural and artificial intelligence in our short talk.
